Please note that you don't have to be a member of the Northern Illinois Street Rod Association to participate in any of our events. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us by email (listed below) to let us know you plan to attend. We look forward to meeting you!
All of our events typically involve food and drinks along the way. They are good times, good friends, and a great opportunity to talk cars!

Driving Trip to Attend the First Day of the Hot Rod Power Tour
A couple of us are going to drive the first leg of the 2026 Hot Rod Power Tour. We will meet somewhere near Elgin and travel to Joliet to join the event. Day 1 involves driving from Joilet, IL to Rantoul, IL. Following any participation in the activities in Rantoul, we intend to drive back home. Our goal is to learn how we might participate in the Power Tour and consider doing the entire trip in 2027.

Friday, August 7th through Monday, August 10th
Driving Trip to Attend the Boulder Junction Car Show in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin
The Musky Days Car Show in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin, takes place on Sunday, August 9th. We plan to drive to the area on Friday, August 7th, and stay at a nearby hotel. On Saturday, August 8th, we plan to drive into the Michigan Upper Peninsula, visit a couple of waterfalls, and conduct a Poker Run along the way. We will attend the car show on Sunday. And then drive back home on Monday.

The Frog Follies Car Show in Evansville, Indiana, takes place the weekend of Friday, August 28th, through Sunday, August 30th. We plan to drive to the area on Friday, August 28th, and stay at a nearby hotel. On Saturday, August 29th, we plan to attend the car show. And then drive back home on Sunday.
